"My wife and I have excellent credit (800 level). She added me onto her policy when we got married back in 2018. She's had a policy with State Farm for 13 years. In those 13 years, she never had to make a claim. We had some heavy storms back in April. We noticed some water leaking onto our ceiling so we reached out for help. We had three different roofing contractors come inspect our roof and they saw extensive hail damage. Able Roofing flat-out told us that State Farm would try to deny it. Sure enough, the adjustor from State Farm came out, took a bunch of low-resolution photos, and said there was no damage. Now, we're stuck with a leaky roof and nobody willing to fix it without completely replacing the whole roof. This is a roof that was just replaced in 2011. State Farm, particularly this agency, made little or no effort to help us resolve this issue. After reaching out to several friends and family members, we discovered that this appears to be a pattern with State Farm. They will continue to deny claims up until legal action is taken and then, reluctantly, give in. I guess they figured most people won't bother contacting a lawyer."
